一 |     The speculation around the next James Bond has taken a rather stylish turn. This is all thanks to Callum Turner and his fiancée, Dua Lipa. With Turner emerging as a favourite to lead Amazon MGM’s upcoming Bond reboot, fans are now pushing for the couple to take on the iconic franchise together.     The Bond mantle has been a subject of endless debate ever since Amazon MGM announced its plans to shape the future of 007. While early frontrunners included Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Henry Cavill, a wave of buzz has recently positioned 34-year-old Turner at the top of the list. British bookmakers have even labelled him the “red-hot favourite,” following a surge of bets and online support.                                                                 View this post on Instagram          A post shared by DUA LIPA (@dualipa)               Turner is best known for his breakout role in the Fantastic Beasts series and later acclaimed performances in Masters of the Air and The Last Letter From Your Lover. He has worked towards steadily building up the kind of profile Hollywood loves. An all-round superstar personality completed with versatility, charisma and an old-school magnetism. He’s currently starring in the romantic drama Eternity alongside Elizabeth Olsen. However, it’s his off-screen relationship that’s fuelling the latest Bond chatter.     Turner and Dua Lipa confirmed their engagement earlier this year. This came after months of paparazzi sightings and absolutely stunning holiday photos. The pair reportedly bonded over reading the same book, Hernan Diaz’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Trust. Fans believe that this meet-cute feels straight out of the Bond movie blueprint.                                                                 View this post on Instagram          A post shared by DUA LIPA (@dualipa)               For many, the idea of Turner as Bond is appealing not just for his acting chops but for the softer, fashion-forward energy he brings. At 6’2”, effortlessly sharp in tailored suits, and without a watch contract, which is a certified Bond essential, he fits what we would call the modern 007 mould. And then there’s Dua Lipa, global pop star, fashion figurehead and already fluent in cinematic glamour. After her Barbie cameo and Bond-adjacent musical presence, fans argue she’s practically destined to be a Bond leading lady.     If Turner really becomes the next 007, the internet has already decided: Dua Lipa should be his Bond girl. And together, they could become the franchise’s most compelling power couple yet. Also Read: Dua Lipa and Callum Turner Get Engaged As Singer Talks About Growing Old Together。

"By avoiding reflection on the lessons of history in his speech and downplaying responsibility for aggression, Sanae Takaichi has taken a major step backward on historical issues, once again exposing the sinister intentions of the Takaichi administration to cover up, distort and whitewash the history of aggression, which has drawn strong condemnation and widespread opposition from various quarters," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Monday when asked to comment on Takaichi's war memorial address on August 15, which marks the 81st anniversary of Japan's unconditional surrender in World War II.
Lin added that on the day marking Japan's defeat and surrender, Takaichi offered a ritual donation to the notorious war-linked Yasukuni Shrine, while senior officials and politicians including Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi also visited and paid their respects there, further intensifying the vigilance of Asian neighbors and the international community over Japan's future direction.
Lin also cited remarks by some people of insight in Japan, noting that a country that fails to reflect on its past cannot gain trust, and that the defense minister's actions amount to support for wars of aggression.
Lin stressed that this year marks the 81st anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, as well as the 80th anniversary of the opening of the Tokyo Trial. Only by facing up to history and drawing lessons from it can we avoid repeating past mistakes and going astray again.
"We once again urge Japanese policymakers to earnestly heed the voices of justice from within Japan and the international community, deeply reflect on their responsibilities, make a clean break with militarism, and refrain from going further down the wrong path," Lin said.
